North American Butterfly Association
I found this site on a somewhat sleepless night. It is a site devoted to butterflies. It includes things like butterfly gardens, annual butterfly counts and photos. A great place to take a look at and its a place to further push us gardeners so we can enjoy these flying flowers.  Just click this link to go there  http://www.naba.org.

Changing Flowers
I just read an article about using a pot to hold a space in the garden where you drop another pot into that pot and that way you can keep switching your flowers from season to season without disturbing your garden. It is not a new idea, I read about it a long time ago. The nice thing is you can have daffodils in the spring, petunias in the summer and a mum in the fall with just pulling one pot out and dropping in another. So this is a tip for all those gardens out there who want the seasonal color or plants and not all the work. Place several pots in you established garden and it will look like its forever changing. Enjoy!

Best Plants to Remove Indoor Toxins
I haven't written in a while but I have been reading things I find on the web. I have decided to include some of these things that I think some of you may find interesting. Below is a link for a page on plants that help to purify indoor air. The original site Eartheasy.com has articles on organic growing of plants as well as compost, etc.. The article for the house plants to remove toxins is located at http://www.eartheasy.com/blog/2009/05/the-top-10-plants-for-removing-indoor-toxins/. So check this out if you have any interest.

   Winter tips for house plants:

Do not fertilize, house plants are house plants are resting now.
Misting is enjoyed by plants, dry indoor heat draws moisture away from plants. A tray with pebbles and a small amount of water underneath will greatly benefit your plants.
